The Game

'The Game' is an original oil painting completed in May 2022 after approximately 70 hours of work. it's size is 16” x 12” on gesso primed 6mm MDF panel unframed, and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Home to Manchester City Football Club, the Etihad Stadium represents far more than just a place of football. It is a major focal point for the lives of many people and fans alike, living in the surrounding community and beyond.  I wanted to capture this focal meeting point for fans of all walks of life, with one thing in common, a love for the club they support. The figures pictured in the painting are all fictional or changed in some way. The couple in the foreground are heading for their entry gate. A father excitedly talking to his son about team news. A fan on the left of the painting buying his next City shirt, fans in retro shirts, It's 2022 and a selfie is a must in front of the poster of the Champions team on the side of the stadium. It's a great time to capture this club in their most successful era in history. I'm sure most football fans can relate to this wonderful time, and be reminded of this when looking at the brush strokes that created this scene.  The painting is priced unframed, but I'm more than happy to arrange framing for an additional cost.
